If you need single holes drilling in concrete, with a smooth edge and pinpoint accuracy, then the best method for the job is diamond core drilling.
To create rectangular or circular openings a technique called stitch drilling can also be employed using an overlapping series of holes pierced through the material. By mounting a drill column with a rotary motor and combining it with a diamond-tipped core bit, drilling holes in steel reinforced concrete, brickwork, stone or metal is easy, clean and vibration-free.
Diamanttek can drill holes ranging from 12mm in diameter up to 800mm using electric, hydraulic or pneumatic powered drilling rigs. To cool the cutting face, our diamond drilling technique uses water, air or foam so you can create the aperture in wet or dry conditions.
Our operators can work with automatic and remote operated rigs, with coolant control and collection where necessary.
To maximise health and safety procedures we make sure cores are held in place or supported from below when necessary to prevent hazards to personnel or equipment. Due to the minimal vibration of rig mounted diamond drills the operator and the structure are well protected.
Diamanttek has used diamond core drilling for many purposes, among them runway lights, material sampling, pile holes, re-bar dowel connections and through penetrations. We will be happy to discuss your job specification and demonstrate our expertise in diamond core drilling by phone or e-mail.
